Kentucky makes many jail, court, and public-record materials available, but the useful source depends on where the person is held and what kind of record is needed. Union County is especially easy to misread because the Former Union County Jail closed in Fall 2020. Current Union County custody records, state custody records, federal custody records, immigration detention records, and court records are handled through separate systems.
